Wedding Vows – Should You Write Your Own?
For couples who are planning to get married, wedding vows are one method of telling each other how you feel, why you love one another, and the promises that you will make to each other, after you are married. Choosing to write your own vows, rather than using prepared vows that can be found online, or prepared by the priest (or whoever is officiating the wedding), is a great way to truly show guests, and show one another, the way you feel towards your partner. The option to write your own wedding vows is truly a great way to show that you love, will honor, and wish to spend the rest of your lives together. When preparing your own wedding vows, each partner must truly take the time to write their vows, in order to show their genuine feelings, and to properly convey their feelings. Your wedding vows are a way to tell your partner why you fell in love with them, tell them the things you appreciate about them, and tell them why your relationship is so sacred. Therefore, when you truly take the time to write out your vows, it shows a deep appreciation for your partner, your relationship, and the care and love that you have, towards the person you are planning on marrying. Writing wedding vows is something that will take some time, no matter how well you know your partner. Since you want them to sound genuine, you want them to be unique, and you want them to be something that your partner (and guests) will truly remember, taking the time to write down your feelings, before the date of your wedding, will help you remember the things you want to say, and show the emotions that you are trying to convey, when you speak the vows on your wedding date. Although not all couples choose to write their own wedding vows, this is truly a great way to tell your partner the things that make them special to you, rather than a prepared document, which the wedding official has prepared, in order for you to say to each other. There is nothing wrong with using prepared vows, but for those that wish to have something unique, and wish to state their feelings, rather than those that have been written out for them, the option to write their own wedding vows is always a great method of portraying those feelings to their new spouse. When choosing the words to say on your wedding day, make sure that you properly convey the words and message is also something that has to be considered in the delivery, and when you are preparing your wedding vows for the big day. Whatever you wish to say and whatever you want to tell your partner, your wedding vows are the place to do so. No matter how small it might be if it is something that is important about your relationship, then adding that to your wedding vows can truly show your partner the things you love about them, no matter how big or small the things are.
